I told you this place was a little... um... spartan. These are bunk beds, and there were 4 of those in a room, making for cozy friendships, I'm sure. By this time I had been carrying around this farking Disk System for nearly three days, so I had developed a "special relationship" with it; a relationship I waned to commiserate by taking this memorial photo of the time we spent together.

The Disk System returned my care and affection by not working. =(

Nintendo has a repair center in the Kanda area of Tokyo, and if the problem with the FDS is a broken drive band (as it is in 95% of broken ones) then it'll only cost about 1000 yen to repair, which is ok in my book.
