• Most of Active's funding was from "various countries". It could be possible that, like Color Dreams and AVE, a lot of the money came from game manufacturers in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Incorporating a business in the Bahamas was actually a somewhat common practice to avoid paying American taxes - the late computer company Commodore was "headquartered" there too.
  • Active's initial distribution plan, outline here, is typical of the company - very optimistic and very impossible given Active's actual product. This is the way, however, that Active's two NES releases became almost common in certain parts of Europe.
