Great site - as a game collector, there is some valuable information in here. I only wish that a comprehensive list, such as the one you have here for the 5200, existed for all of the different home systems. That would make my job a little easier. If anyone knows of such a thing, please email me. Thanks, and keep playin'!

I first recieved an Atari 2600 as a christmas present back in 1984. At the store, my parents couldn't understand how it could possible to play a game using a regular television set.One of the sales person told us that it should be played on a color set (which we didn't have)."why" I asked"Because of compatibility problems ... It just won't work ... it could damage your old black & white TV !" he answered. We ended up forced to buying a color set. After bying it, and finding no problem with playing on black & white tvs, we took the set back to "that" store (I'd rather not mention the name of this store!), and we bought our color set somewhere else. (We needed color anyway, but not from "that" store!)

My first experiences were on the Atari 2600, but I owned the Coleco Vision, Intellivision, and even something called a Mastervision once. However, all of my previous gaming experiences we're nullified when I started coding in BASIC on the Commie 64/128 platform. I love this site!

Thanks for paying homage to the origin of all video games.
Without the 2600, video games wouldn't be nearly what they
are today, and home machine may never have existed. No
matter how cool or powerful the new systems get, they will
never top the original - the best - for the excitement.

I was really happy to see the write up you did on Adventure for the 2600. I have been looking for an emulator or something where I can play that game again. This is the first time I have heard the game even mentioned anywhere. I dont have the 2600 or 7800 anymore, but want to play Adventure again. Is there anything out there that will allow me to do that? Emulator? Thanks

This is a good web site. I used to have an Atari 2600 with about 50 cartridges. I was dumb to give it away in the mid 80's. If I only could turn back time! Anyway, it's a great site. I hope to see more reviews of 2600 cartridges.

Pretty cool...I had no ideal that people still remembered Atari2600...this brings a tear to my eye...man, if only I had never, ever threw out my 2600, after a wire became messy. If I would have known, maybe I could have found someone who would have fixed it for me, or found out how to fix it myself. Sigh.....
