- I remember the fun of playing video games on my old Atari 2600 when I was a kid back in the early 80s. Still to this day I still want to play those games on my computer(Windows 98). I really miss all those games and the Atari 2600 computer.

- My Favorite System: Of course the Atari 2600! It was my baby sitter and my companion in the early 80's
- What I Think of the Content: Excellente' I never knew Atari had so many different products - even though they didn't catch on
- Comments:
- Okay, let's face it. Atari has ALWAYS led the way in video game technology. From the first Atari, not the 2600, you know, the one with the paddles built into the system that played only Pong, to the Jaguar, everyone else has always had to follow Atari's examples. Atari is truely a video game innovator. Yeah! Even today (1999), Atari Games makes the MOST high-tech games around for the arcade.
Some people scream Nintendo 64! Let's remember that is was Atari that had the first 8 bit system, the 5200, the first 16 bit system , the 7800 and the first 64 bit system, the Jaguar! If it was not for Atari, forging the way, the video game scene would be complete !@##!!&**! now. By the way this Atari HQ site ROCKS!!!!!! Keep up the Amazing work!

- I just recently purchased a system, but it was not working, I have tried cleaning it and have jiggled around with the connections. I would like to know if anyone out there has any suggestions or any Atari periferals they are willing to part with, in any event, this site has helped out in letting me know that my wife and I aren't the only Atari fanatics left. Thanks, and I can be reached at jehe98@hotmail.com

- I grew up on the Atari 2600, and other older consoles, and still love them, as if they were new. The new consoles just don't offer the same type of gaming experience, as the old systems do/did. I've just purchased a Supercharger for the Atari 2600, and plan on putting my 6502 experience to good use for the "continued good" of this system! I feel that I can finally make a difference in the gaming world, which is dominated by huge conglomo type companies, who've lost the feel for what real videogames are all about... They can keep their high-tech, huge computing resources, and inefficient coding techniques (due to faster, bigger systems). I'll take the challenge of limited resources, which force me to be more efficient with my programming, and make me fully appreciate the art of game programming. It's truely becomming a lost art, in these days of monsterous system resources, and programming libraries, dll's, etc. They can keep it, as it just doesn't impress me as much as the good 'ole systems of the 70's and 80's.
Sincerely, Shawn Lafontaine

- I stumbled across Atari HQ about a year ago and visit often for new information. I just acquired my first 5200 and your FAQ has helped me get started on the right foot (including repairing those picky controllers!). Keep up the good work, and keep the dream alive - Atari is too important as a culture, not just a product, to let slip away.
