Acclaim were the ultimate masters at over-hyping a game without being very good at it. Although the actors and so forth are all insanely enthusiastic about the game they're pitching, something always seems to be, somehow, not right. This ad for Double Dragon 2: The Revenge is a good example. Instead of some hyperactive teenager, this ad is done in extremely horribly-drawn animation, complete with silly karate-chop sound effects, all while the announcer claims that it's "The best action game ever!". |
