(NYSE: MWY), a leading software industry publisher and developer, announced today that a remake of the arcade classic Defender® is in development for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Defender is scheduled to ship in 2002.

Prepare for an out-of-this-world flying experience with Defender, the ultimate action-and-strategy videogame. The Defender player's task of protecting the human race from an alien invasion has never been more challenging, as players man the controls of a powerful and impressive new Defender ship. As a Defender pilot, players must carry out a wide array of dangerous missions in an ongoing battle to protect the human race and the entire solar system from alien annihilation.
